As the people of Australia head to the polls, and my little red envelope sits waiting to be counted in London, all I can say is..

We're going to toddle down to the booths (with the dogs, they deter people trying to hand out how to vote cards) to do our bit, let's just hope the rest of the Aussie population engages their brains for once.
At 10:12 pm, The Retro Seamstress said...: I think I can some up last night's result as "WOOHOO!!!". I don't think I've ever paid that much attention to an election. Even as the numbers were looking good I didn't want to celebrate too early, but it just got better and better.

I think I feel a little prouder to be an Australian.
